How we write

• We never reproduce song lyrics or link to unofficial streams.
• Biographical notes stay at widely known basics; where sources disagree, we say so.
• Traditions differ across Egypt, the Levant, Iraq, the Gulf and the Maghreb, and we try to reflect that.
